I’m taking this new kind of anti-depressant called Pristiq. So that I don’t forget to take it, I slip it into my Camera holder. When I first started taking the drug I would take it in the morning right when I woke up because it was right next to my bed with a glass of water. However, one of the drug’s side effects, at least one of its side effects on me, is that it makes me extremely drowsy. So I was driving to work the other day and my eyes keep blinking closed and shut. My thoughts kept drifting here and there and I dazed off for a few minutes. The road curved and I almost drove my car right into concrete barrier off a small bridge. Luckily, I snapped to in time and grabbed the wheel and turned it. So now I take it after I’ve driven to work. Usually work keeps me awake enough so that I don’t fall asleep while I am working . By the time the workday is over, any drowsiness I’m feeling is gone and I’m fine to drive. Sometimes, it takes a few weeks for anti-depressants to really be effective, but I’m already feeling a change. The pills take my mind off of worrying about petty things so I can focus on the good in my life .
